Aerocity – New Delhi, Delhi, India — Another busy week for Team Zinier, after members of our product and engineering teams presented alongside Qualcomm at India Mobile Congress 2019.

The three-day event, organized by the Department of Telecommunications (DOT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), is one of the largest digital technology forums in South Asia.

This year, the theme of “IMAGINE a new CONNECTED world” set the stage for more than 300 exhibitors to discuss key technology trends in the telecom industry, from AI to 5G and the Internet of Things (IoT).

As one of the only software vendors at the event, our team was able to demonstrate how a purpose-built field service automation platform could help service providers get ahead in the race to install and maintain 5G networks.

Most projections today see widespread adoption of 5G networks by 2025, but organizations are looking for ways to accelerate this timeline. The increased bandwidth and data transfer capabilities of these next-generation networks will be instrumental in supporting connected devices, smart meters, autonomous vehicles, and more.

Later in the week, our team participated in the Qualcomm Innovation Forum, where we met with industry leaders and discussed the future of connectivity. Key themes coming out of the event included 5G deployment and use cases, the Innovation Ecosystem, and how 5G will transform the way we live, work, and play.

Across both events, it was exciting to see the level of interest in solving one of the key challenges of 5G deployment – how can field service organizations use AI and automation to streamline their operations and win the race to 5G?
