2021 presents a balancing act for European business and IT leaders as they prepare for growth in the new reality, while emerging from the impact of Brexit, the global pandemic and other disruptions across the globe. From our earliest days, Zinier has had roots in Europe through Newfund Capital, our Paris-based investors, but in 2021, we’re expanding our investment in the region, as service providers like utilities and telecoms turn to digital solutions to accelerate productivity, safety and growth initiatives. IT spending in EMEA is forecast to total $1.075 trillion in 2021, an increase of 2.8% from 2020, according to Gartner.

We’re excited to announce we’ve broken new ground with a European Headquarters located in London. With this expanded presence, we’re committed to helping European organizations address digital transformation within field service – the people and systems that maintain our always-on infrastructure and services.

The new normal in EMEA is impacted by a dramatic shift toward remote and limited workforces, just as labor-intensive growth opportunities like the deployment of 5G and the rollout of smart meters become a priority. In order to keep pace with other regions who may be ahead in areas like 5G deployment, European organizations will tap into technologies like AI and automation to empower their most essential workforces – like field service teams – to keep them safe, productive and focused on high-value tasks. Our co-founder Andrew Wolf discusses the new reality and the new field service must-haves – remote support, customer self-service and automation – during a roundtable with European leaders from ABB and IBM.
